The Iron Mining Association of Minnesota (IMA) works with educational institutions to ensure that young people understand the importance of mining to our state and national history and economy. Our educational partnership with schools provides information on mining to area classrooms, recognizes students academic achievements and works with students who will be the employees of the future.
Teachers are now able to access a specialized iron-mining curriculum developed with help from local teachers to expose sixth-grade students to the science, history, mathematics and art of iron mining.
The new online curriculum can be found here. It is currently under development, so keep checking back to see what's new!
