NEW MEMBERSHIP: Becoming a Partner in Minnesota Iron Mining
If your company looks to iron mining for sales, you should consider becoming a member of the Iron Mining Association of Minnesota (IMA). The IMA promotes an iron ore industry that will provide long-term growth and prosperity for all stakeholders through profitability in a competitive, global market. It pursues that mission through public education and information, working on public policies affecting iron mining and partnering with educational institutions. IMA members participate in environment, education and tax policy; go on members’ only tours of mining operations; socialize at golf outings, membership socials and dinners; gain valuable information about the industry and work to promote a healthy iron mining industry. To become a member of the IMA, use the link below.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS/BENEFITS
Membership dues guidelines are based upon annual sales to the industry and reflect three different categories.
• Sustaining members, whose sales to the industry exceed $3 million annually, pay $3,000 in dues.
• Supporting members, whose sales to the industry range from $500,000 to $3 million a year, pay $1,500 in dues.
• Contributing members, whose sales to the industry are up to $500,000 a year, pay $500 in dues.
Membership dues support critical IMA activities, including:
• Public affairs efforts to ensure that laws and regulations support or at a minimum don't impede the progress of the industry.
• Public information efforts to raise awareness of the industry, its contributions to the state and nation and its challenges.
• Educational partnerships with schools and higher educational institutions to ensure that students learn about the industry, its contributions and potential employment opportunities.

Membership in the IMA offers significant benefits -- above and beyond the support provided to a critical Minnesota industry. IMA members receive:

• Monthly association Updates from the IMA Office.
• A bimonthly newsletter highlighting the industry and association members.
• An IMA Member Kit, which includes a listing for each member and contact information.
• A hot-link to the IMA web site at http://www.taconite.org.
• Invitations to tour two iron-mining operations each year to keep updated on current production practices.
• Invitations to two member socials each year -- a February Funspiel and a Fall Social.
• Invitations to participate in the Annual Summer Golf Outing.
• Invitations to attend the Annual Meeting and Annual Dinner in December.
